  1. Check the weekly sales flyer.

  2.  Make a list. Making a list will help keep you focused and help you not to buy things  other things that you don’t need.  

  3.  Eat before you shop. 

  4.  Use coupons, but don’t  buy something just because it’s on sale or because you have a coupon. 

  5.  Buy store brands. 

  6. Check the prices per pound on items. 

  7. Buy meat when it’s on sale and store it in the freezer. 

  8. Plan your meals ahead and get creative with leftovers

  9. If you have a weakness for junk food, avoid your weak spots, just stay away from that aisle!

  10. Try to cut back on your beverage bill.  Make your own tea, kool-aid, coffee, and other beverages instead of buying them.
